Meet Roy:
I’m a Clinical Social Work Associate with a deep commitment to trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and client-centered care. As someone who identifies as queer and lives in mental health recovery, I strive to create a space that feels inclusive, affirming, and rooted in mutual respect.
I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges—from anxiety and mood issues to trauma, identity exploration, and interpersonal difficulties. I have particular experience supporting individuals in high-stress or extreme emotional states, including those experiencing psychosis or recovering from hospitalization.
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and interpersonal neurobiology. I see therapy as a collaborative process where we build a non-hierarchical relationship that honors your lived experience and inner wisdom. I also integrate CBT and DBT skills when helpful to support emotional regulation and behavioral shifts.
Clinical Background:
My professional experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including those with high levels of need. This background has shaped my ability to stay grounded and attuned in the presence of emotional intensity, and to offer care that is steady, responsive, and deeply respectful of complexity.
What to Expect in Therapy:
You can expect a space where your whole self is welcome—including the parts that feel messy, confusing, or difficult. I’ll support you in exploring your inner world with curiosity and compassion, and we’ll work together to build new ways of relating to yourself, others, and your environment.
Healing is not a linear process and you don’t have to do it alone. I’d be honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward integration, connection, and liberation.
