Meet Cyrena:
I believe therapy can be a powerful space for growth, healing, and change. My approach is rooted in creating an authentic, trusting relationship where you feel seen, heard, and supported just as you are. I aim to meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect—so that together we can explore what matters most to you.

I work with adults (18+) navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and identity development. I also work with couples who want to improve communication, deepen emotional connection, rebuild trust, or make meaningful decisions about their relationship.

I draw from person-centered, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed frameworks to help clients feel empowered in their healing. I integrate evidence-based modalities like ACT, CBT, IFS, RLT, and mindfulness to tailor our work to your unique needs and goals. Humor, authenticity, and a collaborative spirit are essential parts of the process for me.

Clinical Background:
I earned my Master’s in Counselor Education with a specialization in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Portland State University. My background in sociology also informs my understanding of how social systems and identities shape our experiences. As a white, queer, cisgender woman, I bring a commitment to inclusive, anti-oppressive practice to every session.

What to Expect in Therapy:
You can expect a warm, down-to-earth presence and a therapy space where your full self is welcome. I’ll show up with honesty, encouragement, and the belief that meaningful change is possible—even when it’s hard. We’ll move at your pace, with shared intention and care.

Life is messy and unpredictable, and therapy can be too—but you don’t have to do it alone. If you're looking for a therapist who brings their real self to the work and values collaboration and connection, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
